Each year, the Hygienic Laboratory publishes an annual report to record outstanding
events, financial and statistical reports, and advancements in public health and
environmental laboratory practices. Publication follows our fiscal year, which begins
July 1. Electronic versions are available on this website; hard copies are available by
contacting the Hygienic Laboratory in Iowa City at 319-335-4500 (toll-free 800-421-IOWA)

 "UHL in Focus," the 2007-2008 Hygienic Laboratory annual report, recently published last
week to provide an overview of testing, services and accomplishes by the state of Iowa's
public health and environmental laboratory. The report consists of articles from the
Environmental Health, Disease Control and Newborn Screening departments, and an overview
of other divisions. Statistical summaries include a financial report, a list by county
of the number of test performed and antidotal numbers that are an indicator of the
breadth of work performed by the Hygienic Laboratory.
